Stratford-upon-Avon is a charming market town in England, best known as William Shakespeare's birthplace. Visitors can explore Shakespeare’s Birthplace and enjoy exhibitions about his life and works. The town features historic streets, delightful cafés, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, where classic plays come to life. It’s an ideal destination for lovers of history, art, and culture.
Nearly 120 of us gathered in Stratford-upon-Avon on a lovely autumn day, eager to immerse ourselves in the town's rich history. We visited the Shakespeare Museum, explored his birthplace, and paid our respects at his final resting place in Holy Trinity Church by the river. To our delight, we discovered a small altar in the church adorned with Ukrainian flags and memorabilia, a touching reminder of our shared heritage. As we strolled through the town, many locals stopped to chat about the tragic situation in Ukraine, offering their support and solidarity. We enjoyed a delightful picnic in the sunshine and took a scenic boat trip along the river. It was a truly unforgettable day for everyone involved.
