Shirley

ESOL Conversation for 40 Hong Kong BNOs - in partnership with Groundwork. A 6-week Conversational English course was conducted as part of the 'Welcome Hong Kong Programme' which was funded by the Department for Levelling Up and aimed to enhance integration through language proficiency. Project start date: 06/02/2024 Project end date: 22/03/2024

Balsall Common

The English Conversation Club open to all involved 20 Ukrainian refugee participants and 20 UK volunteers, including residents of Balsall Common and students from Warwick University. The club has been moved to St. Augustune’s Church in Solihull. Timetable: Saturdays (every other Saturday) 10am-12pm – open to all.

Formal English Course to 57 refugees in two locations: Solihull and Dorridge. Four Beginner English courses endorsed by the Education and Training Foundation and the Home Office to support refugees in early integration. Levels: Pre-Entry // Entry Level 1-2 (ESOL Skills for Life)
